**************************************************************************** * * * Sound Player v1.0 * * * * (c) Daniel Glazman 1991 * * This program can be freely copied or distributed * * if the code is not modified or customized * * * **************************************************************************** Sound Player v1.0 allows the user to play digitized samples from the GEM desktop. SND_PLAY.ARC contains the following files : SOUND.ACC desktop accessory; must be installed in the root directory of boot disk or boot partition SOUND_EN.RSC resource file for Sound Player; language : English. SOUND_FR.RSC resource file for Sound Player; language : French. READ.ME the file you are currently reading... IMPORTANT : ** First of all, rename the resource file depending on the language you want "SOUND.RSC". Accessory and resource file should be both in the root directory of boot-disk or boot-partition. ** At boot-time, Sound Player is looking for a file named SOUND.INF in which you can save some parameters. If this file does not exist, no sound file or directory is pre-set in the accessory. The Info menu gives you some information about the program and the author of Sound Player. The Config menu allows you to set a SOUNDS directory where your sounds files are located. You can also save or load a *.INF file. Play menu allows you to choose a sounds file in the directory chosen in the Config menu and a sampling speed. These choices done, you can play the chosen file just clicking a button. Sound Player has been developped and successfully tested with a 1040 system : 1 Mbytes of RAM TOS 1.0 (ROM), TOS 1.4 & 1.6 & 2.5 (RAM) B&W monitor Please send bug reports and suggestions to the address given below.
